Perry Leopold - Experiment in Metaphysics

Unknown [1970]

This record come's with some crazy story about Leopold recording this is 5 days in  the basement of a shoe repair shop, then distributing most of the 300 pressed copies amongst strangers on the street. That's some next level art punk shit and I back it hard.
More importantly, though, this record contains some of the most beautiful proto-goth folk music that I have ever heard. You will have to look past the expected bullshit hippie lyrics that pop up occasionally, but this really is one of the darkest, most raw folk albums I have ever listened to. It really sounds like a solitary man sitting in the dingy basement of a shoe repair shop writing music.
