So this is Urusei Yatsura. They are were a band from Glasgow and they are named after some Japanese manga comic. They sound like Pavement. A lot. They are really good. I can't stop listening to them lately. You should do the same.

This is the singles collection that came after the aforementioned debut. It's not quite as good as "We Are..." but it's got some amazing gems on it that must not be missed. This is some top notch 90's lo-fi indie for your earholes folks.

The greatest Trumans Water record is their first. It really is. Alas, the only copy I have of that is etched into a slab of vinyl and despite my overwhelming effort to obtain a cost-less digital copy, I have failed. SO, we are going to listen to the next best thing. This is some stuff the melodically noisy four-tet did with John Peel in the mid 90's. It's good.

I was digging through some music that I haven't listened to in a while and this little gem was screaming at me when I found it. I listened to this album approximately too many times when it came out. It's good. You will probably hate it, but that's because your taste is awful and your dumb and we're not friends any more.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I haven't eaten today. Come sit down on my bed. I will put on some lo-fi indie pop and we can hold hands. Wait till you hear these songs. The melodies are disgustingly infectious and the production is just the right balance of dirt and glass. No, I don't have any chocolate milk. Hear me out real quick. These guys are Swedish and French so the preciousness in their voices is not their fault, they are born like that. It's actually more fun than pretentious. In fact, the overall feel is quite "cute". Like Kimya Dawson's Antsy Pants "cute".

Fine, I will get you some chocolate milk but then we are listening to Envelopes.

I have heard very little mention this band. That tells me that either I'm out of the loop (very likely) and they have had plenty of attention or they are some shitty band I really like cuz I like shitty music. Either way, this band is fantastic. It's like the lovechild of Sonic Youth, Pavement, and The Jesus and Mary Chain. Like, this baby was BORN(t) with messy big hair and sunglasses...
