Gasp - Drome Triler of Puzzle Zoo People

Slap A Ham [1998]

We were talking about noisy, experimental hardcore, right? Ya, we were. It was probably less than 2 hours ago. Do you really forget shit that quickly? Don't blame it on the drugs asshole... your just getting old. It's a shame too, cuz nobody likes old people. Therefor, nobody likes you...
Good thing you have this Gasp record to keep you company, though. It's got everything you need to have a good time by yourself (no, it doesn't come with anything either wet or "vibratey", this is a kids blog...). We are talking nightmarish experimental pieces smashed next to (and over) ferociously dissonant hardcore. Swirly, reverberated guitars and haunting, ambient loop drones soaked in sludge. It's classically Slap A Ham in it's strangeness but manages to stand out as something different. I remember back in high school how excited I was when I found a copy of this record on the cheap at a shop in Portland. It had a spot on the turntable for quite some time. I just remembered about it because of our conversation about noisy hardcore that you forgot about. Anyway, have fun listening to this.... alone.
